I had heard so much about this place that I just had to go to see for myself and am sorry I did. The service was poor and the food was terrible. I told my server that my meal was inedible and she still asked me if I wanted it packed up!!!! Seriously?? not only that I had barely eaten anything and no offer of a replacement or discount to try to satisfy a paying customer was made. Also, when i asked to have a ceasear salad in place of fries i was not made aware that there would be and added charge of 2.99 ( and the dressing was old!). I have been in the hospitality industry for more than 20 years and to me this was unacceptable. I would not only never recommend this place but will actively steer people away. Just plain BAD!!

Don't go there...especially if you have a nut allergy. They will not tell you that there is nuts in it(even when you ask). And will offer you a pathetic free meal as compenstion for you almost dying. Management is rude and will blame you! Eat from a dumpster, it will probabley be safer.

The Food is great, and the staff is even better! I'd know, I'm one of them! Thanks for all the awesome reviews!

The absolute best spinach salad I have ever had!!! A diet doesn't have to be that bad after all. =)

There pan fried haddok is fantastic!!! I visit Dartmouth approx. once a year and always make it a point to have lunch there!!

I have a very poor opinion of this bar/restaurant. I had a steak sandwhich
in may/2009 and it had a lot of fat on it.Not what you want in a sandwhich.
the seafood chowder was good, but when i asked for a roll with it,they were charging extra for the roll!! crackers were free......also, if you order a
club sandwhich and don't want fries, they will not reduce the price.
another rip-off.... i will not go again and will warn others

Everytime I am at Angies..its clean, fast and consistently great.
I love that Angie is there herself working as hard as anyone else.

Best homemade turkey soup in town.

The absolute truth is that this spot has such a pleasant atmosphere that even if the food was lousy ( which it is not )it would still be a geat place to spend an hour or so.

Angie is so personable, as is her her staff, that anyone who drops in is immediately treated as a friend.

If you want to feel comfortable in a Nova Scotia tavern, go to Angie's.
